More summer stuff

Since my last post, Matt celebrated his 28th birthday on the 16th.  We had lots of yummy food including Joes Crab Shack on his actual birthday and German food from his favorite place in Plano with my parents.  Here's some pictures from our German feast:

Tobin reaching so hard for the very last bite of dessert.  This rivaled the time he licked the plate clean at another family dinner.

Also, we had a great July 4th this year.  Tobin was fired up about fireworks and his first big show was all that he anticipated.  Always the encourager, his first words after the fireworks ended was "Great job, Sky!"

Tobin started the day painting his toast red and blue:

Lastly, Heidi had her two month check-up this morning.  She was a trooper through three shots and was very cooperative and happy during the doctor's check (her big brother would always immediately start crying as soon as he was undressed and then cry through the entire check-up).  She weighed 10 pounds, 5 ounces (40th percentile) and was 22.5 inches long (50th percentile).  Here she is telling me all about her visit:

Ahhh Em, she is just the sweetest thing! And I loved the toast idea, you're so creative! What is he painting it with? (you know, so I can steal the idea when Brierley is older) :)

Thanks Chels! Tobin was painting with colored milk. I saw the idea in a book called "The Toddlers Busy Book." That book is a gem for fun ideas for projects, games, and activities for little ones. I highly recommend it!

I disclaim all responsibility for the picture of Heidi and her MiMi! Tobin's remark about "good job, big sky" is priceless. Thanks for sharing such precious moments with us. And what can I say about Miss Heidi. What a darling. Emily, had I not known it was you talking , I might have thought it sounded just like Cheryl. I know she will enjoy the video clip so much. Keep them coming. Love to all, Mimi

Emily,
I just wanted to say what a sweet video of Heidi "talking" to you. I have shown it to everyone at work at least twice. They are probably all rolling their eyes behind my back. LOL. Heidi's little face just lights up when she hears you talk. She definitely knows her mommy's voice! I have to say I am beyond proud of you and Matt for being such wonderful, loving parents to Tobin and Heidi. They are both so happy and if I may say so, smart and beautiful, (handsome in Tobin's case). Hugs and Kisses from "Oma".
